Crawford Montizano, aka The Nightrider, was a member of Toecutter's Gang. Not much is known about him prior to the opening events of Mad Max, but his legendary status as a ruthless and somewhat bi-polar individual is confirmed by Toecutter's marks: "The Nightrider, remember him when you look at the night sky."
After singlehandedly breaking free of the Halls of Justice and stealing a Pursuit Special, he attempts to escape with a punk woman named Marmaduke, only to meet his death at the hands of the pursuing officer, Max Rockatansky.
